Dr. Jasmine(Jisong) Cui was elected as expert of Beijing 1000Plan

The ceremony for the 12th Beijing 1000 Talents Recruitment Program (Beijing 1000 Plan) was held in Beijing on March 22, 2017. Dr. Jasmine Cui, general manager of InnoCare Pharma, was honored to be awarded as expert of Beijing 1000 Plan.

Beijing 1000 Talents Recruitment Program is established by Beijing government, aiming at recruiting high-level scholars and talents from overseas. It will provide financial support for outstanding scientists and leading experts in areas including high-tech industries, new fields of study in the nation’s major innovation projects, key programs of study or laboratories, central enterprises or state-owned financial institutions, or high-tech development zones or industrial parks. Up to now, a total of 899 people has been awarded as Beijing 1000 Plan Experts, and 207 of them are members of National 1000 Plan, which is the highest level of national recruitment program.

Dr. Jasmine Cui is recognized as the world renewed expert of drug research and translational medicine, who has over 20 years of experience in drug development and R & D team management. She is former GM&CSO of BioDuro, a PPD company,  and Director of Cardiovascular Diseases at Merck Research Laboratories, where Dr. Cui has led the research and development of innovative drugs and translational medicine.

Dr. Cui was the 17th president of the Sino-American Pharmaceutical Professionals Association (SAPA), a leading Chinese-American pharmaceutical organization, and the first female president in the organization's history.

Dr. Cui published more than 100 research articles, patent applications and meeting abstracts, and is inventor of 4 international patents. She developed the first thrombosis mouse model which was published in Nature. Dr. Cui has received prestigious awards from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, the American Society of Hematology, the world's top 500 Merck Co, medical school of University of Michigan, etc.

Dr. Cui received her Ph.D. in biology from Purdue University, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Howard Hughes Medical Institute. She received her BS degree from Shandong University in China.

As the general manager of InnoCare Pharma, Dr. Cui will lead a team of outstanding scientists to develop safe and effective drugs to address unmet medical needs in China and worldwide through innovation.
